I have a proof of concept set up where you can click on a bass drum and play the sound.

Android App- Beat maker

I plan on making an app that will alow the user to use a virtual drum kit. I will also attempt to give the user the option to record the sounds. It will probably take 2 days to get a concept working and 4 or 5 days to have a finalized version.

The Best and Worst Jobs: Software Engineering #1

According to an online article from the wall street journal a website named CareerCast.com ranked software engineering is the best job in 2011. This is based on income, working environment, stress, physical demands and job outlook from data acquired by the labor dept. and U.S. Census. This is an interesting article that shows the strength of the computer science/programming field and the overall strength of the computer industry. (link bellow)

My Hopes For Advanced Java

What I hope to gain in this class is to expand on my programming knowledge. I hope to become more prolific in the Java language in order to work with more difficult programming projects.

My experiance with programming is an introductory course in C++ and one in Java. I have recently begun learning some HTML codeing.
